Ginisang Hipon

One of the easiest and fastest dish to make is this Ginisang Hipon. This shrimp recipe is perfect if you are alone or there are only two of you in the house and you'd like to cook something up fast for dinner. But....'Wag ismolin. Ginisang Hipon might be easy to make but it's delicious. You can finish a whole pot of white rice for this. So you better loosen up that belt. This dish might cause a sudden change in your waistline. :)

1. Saute garlic till brown then add onion and tomato. Saute for 2 more minutes.

2. Add the shrimps and saute for a minute using high heat. (Don't forget to cut the shrimps' whiskers first)

3. Add soy sauce, sugar, water and pepper. Stir.

4. Simmer for 3 minutes.

Turn off heat. I've learned that when cooking shrimps, you have to cook them for only a few minutes and using high heat to prevent the meat from becoming rubbery. This is also true when cooking squid.

5. Serve hot and enjoy!
