Easy Vegetables with Chicken Recipe


When your children eat the vegetable dish that you put on the table, do you feel like you’re in heaven too? Yeah, that’s what I feel each time I cook this dish, my Easy Vegetables with Chicken Recipe. Easy because it truly is easy plus it is forgiving because you may add vegetables that you prefer like string beans, squash, and cabbage plus you can omit those you don’t, like okra.

Most people I know don’t like them, I, on the other hand, likes okra very much. :) Just don’t omit the “carlang” since it adds a real nice texture to the sauce. Carlang by the way is like a family of some kind with the root crop gabi. So try my mixed vegetables recipe and tell me what you think.

1. Saute the garlic till brown. Add in onion and the white part of the spring onion till transparent.

2. Add in tiny bits of slices of chicken breast. Saute till light brown.

You may notice there are black specks on the chicken because before I store them in the fridge after purchase, it is my habit already to put salt and pepper on raw meat except fish.

3. Add in soy sauce, oyster sauce and water. Stir then bring to boil.

4. Put in the cubed carlang. Simmer till the carlang soften about 7-10 minutes.

5. Add in the rest of the vegetables. Sprinkle with pepper. Simmer for 3 minutes more.
